So today the quickie team ventured out to the depths of Subang, to shop for baju melayu and other goodies for the orphans that were helping, at the Home we’ve chosen f
or the Hari Raya special. The orphanage is called Pernim and it houses over 50 children ranging from 2 till 14yrs old, the really sad thing about the orphanage is that a lotÂ

are HIV positive… meaning very few will live into adulthood. For me thats what hit home real hard, that these children will never be able to live the everyday lives we so take for granted.
So off we went on a Quickie adventure! sadly Fabes couldn’t make it out with us so it was me, Belinda and Little ol’ Rina to hunt though Mydin for worthy prezzies for the kids. I was in charge of foods and cakes, not to mention the traditional malay clothing ‘Baju Melayu’. The girls of course took on the stationary and th

e task of finding me some new threads! (they look like pimped out pyjamas!)
3 Hours, one strange looking shop assistant and 50 goody bags later we had completed our worthy task! On Saturday we’ll be headed to the orphanage to meet the little tyke’s and give them some lovin!
Laters muchacho’s!
